Humble Beginnings - CD Reviews |
||
|
“Humble Beginnings is a brilliant mix of songs all written and
sung by the truly talented artist, Carol O’Sullivan. It provides
of brilliant mix of songs from the spine tingling ‘Always’ (my
personal favourite) to the more up tempo ‘Letting Go’.
Whether listening to her CD or to a live performance, one thing is
for sure, you are in for a treat!“ “Humble
Beginnings is the debut album from Carol O'Sullivan. It is a selection
of 10 songs written and performed in the easy listening
and popular music styles. It is a collection of some very enjoyable
and foot tapping songs and a couple of outstanding ballads. I look
forward to hearing the next album.” “ Humble Beginnings is what a good pop album should be; catchy
melodies, a variety of styles and grooves and good production just for
starters.
Miss O'Sullivan needn't be humble any longer! “ “Says
exactly what it does on the tin. It takes you to new places and lifts
up the spirit.” “The quality of the song-writing on this album is beyond doubt.
With live gigs and a solid album to support her, Carol O’Sullivan
is certainly a name to look out for in the future.” “I
was sent this by an ex-colleague who runs a nursing home where Carol
now sings. Although the staff and clients enjoy listening
and singing to the songs, Humble Beginnings also has a healing quality
to it. It has a calming effect on some of our clients and we use
it in our sensory / chill out room.” “On her first CD, Carol O’Sullivan shows exceptional ability
as a songwriter. All of the twelve numbers with their ‘soul searching’ lyrics
have been composed and sung by Carol. From the first song “Working
At It” with its haunting melody, through such numbers as “Always” and “Keep
The Dream Alive”, Carol displays a talent that should not be
ignored. This is recommended listening and a well produced CD.” “An album of beautiful songs written from the heart. Full of songs
from real life that everyone can relate to.” |
